THE SUN RISES (Cyberformed Backstory)

Sunstorm was first created as any other Seeker. One of the many mass-produced Seeker frames produced on Cybertron pre-War, Sunstorm shirked 'traditional' Seeker jobs and took up work as a stunt flier, taking odd jobs - from air shows to movie sets - where he could find them. No courier or military work for him; he wanted to be as free as his wings would allow him.

He knew he wasn't stupid. He knew he was far more than every stereotype others had about his frame.

So it was no wonder that when the Decepticons arose, Sunstorm jumped at the chance to sign up.

While he had been somewhat of a loner before the War, his working taking him too far afield to really maintain long-term friendships, he quickly fell in with his fellow Seekers; it wasn't uncommon to see him tagging along after the rest, always the most vocal about questioning orders, about asserting his own individuality. It was something manageable, something often set to the side for the 'greater cause'; it was certainly set aside enough for him to become fast friends with others, including Slipstream.

With the two of them together, Sunstorm had thought they could have taken on the world. He made her a promise, in those early days: that they were going to be so much more than anyone expected of them. That they would make their mark here, no matter what life threw at them.

He was right. But not in the way either of them wanted.

'Volunteered' for one of Shockwave's projects by his superiors while Slipstream and her cohorts were out on a mission, Sunstorm's very spark was tampered with. It flared, bright, brighter than any before, going supernova in his chest- To the point where he began to melt from the inside out, and everything around him with it. Driven mad with pain and the intense solar radiation, what would follow was a catastrophe: he broke out of Shockwave's containment, and burnt an entire sector of Cybertron into molten slag.

Escaping into the wastes, it was assumed Sunstorm's spark would finally explode. Killing him, and anything that dared to be close to him. The Decepticon command would simply wash their hands of the whole affair, and that would be that.

Instead, Sunstorm returned.

Sunstorm had seen something, out there in the barren wastes. No one knew what it was- Just that she came back, talking of gods and the light, in control of what should have been a ticking time bomb in her chest. How she had seen Solus Prime, and that finally she saw the truth. Sunstorm, taking up a different face, a different set of pronouns, renounced the Decepticon cause-

And left Cybertron.

She hasn't been seen for millions and millions of years... But the Seekers still whisper about her in fear, about the rampage she left in her wake. Of that madness, and the eerie control she showed upon her brief return. They remember her, and all the trouble she caused them.

Now she's back, and who knows what chaos could follow in her wake?
